I’m still not pregnant. When should I use a donor?

The only right answer as to when you should use a donor is: when you feel ready to explore that path.

Using donor eggs is an incredibly personal decision, and there is no "right" or "wrong" time to do so. Please know that if you've only had one failed cycle or unexplained infertility and are being counseled to use donor eggs by your physician, you may want to seek a second opinion. It's important to note that clinics can benefit financially from donor cycles.

Remember there is nothing wrong with asking a lot of questions, and it would be great to hear feedback from patients thinking about using donor eggs and from patients who have gone through it.

Conversely, a great point mentioned on our Instagram is that some clinics also continue patients after failed treatments without ever discussing using donor eggs or other options. This is another problem in IVF community and it's important that you advocate for your own best interests.
