Recent Stories in the News on Cryo Tanks
You may have seen the news the past few days. Fertility centers in SF and Cleveland, with no relation to Spring, had some failures with their cryopreservation tanks that affected some patients’ frozen eggs and embryos. We do not know the details regarding these other clinics, but want to assure you that our physicians and scientists have reviewed our own processes and technology and assured ourselves that a similar event would be extremely unlikely to occur at Spring.
Spring uses state of the art equipment outfitted with the latest 24-hour monitoring devices, and checks tank levels daily to ensure that there are no changes. We have layers of backup systems, and maintain tanks filled with liquid nitrogen at all times.
Our hearts go out to those affected at the other centers, and we want to ensure you that we take these events seriously, reviewed our process and protocols and will continue to review them in light of any new information from these other clinics’ events.
