Genetic Counseling at Spring Fertility

For individuals and couples pursuing fertility treatments, genetic counseling can be an important step in ensuring a healthy pregnancy and future child. Our goal is to make every phase of the fertility journey as easy and seamless as possible, and we have genetic counselors on staff to answer any questions and provide additional support and guidance where necessary.

The Role of Genetic Counseling in Fertility

Genetic counseling can be advantageous when navigating fertility for two major reasons. First, genetic screening can help to identify if a genetic condition may be contributing to an inability to conceive. Second, pre-implantation genetic testing can significantly increase your chances of a successful embryo transfer

You may decide to meet with a genetic counselor once or multiple times throughout your fertility journey:

  • To discuss questions about genetic risk based on personal and family medical history

  • To review the option of preimplantation genetic testing in an IVF cycle

  • To review donor’s family history and genetic screening results, if you would like to match with a donor

Everyone’s journey is unique.
We’re here to help.
