DR. JULIA KIM

Dr. Julia Kim is triple Board-Certified as a Reproductive Endocrinologist/Fertility Specialist, OBGYN, and Technical Supervisor in Embryology. She is a physician partner at Spring Fertility San Francisco and serves on Spring’s national leadership team as Director of Physician Integration and Clinical Services.

Dr. Kim is a native Californian and graduated from Brown University with a B.A. in Comparative Literature while part of the Program in Liberal Medical Education. She received her medical degree at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University with a scholarly concentration in Aging. During her fourth year of medical school, she concurrently earned a Master’s in Public Health from Harvard University with a concentration in Healthcare Management and Policy. Dr. Kim then completed her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at New York Presbyterian Hospital / Weill Cornell Medical College before completing her fellowship in REI at IVIRMA of NJ. During fellowship, Dr. Kim also trained as an embryologist and co-authored numerous publications in the field’s leading peer-reviewed journals.

A product of infertility treatment herself, Dr. Kim grew up knowing how impactful infertility treatment can be for families. She enjoys caring for Spring patients in the Bay Area and beyond, providing the individualized care that each unique case deserves.

I just wrapped up an egg freezing cycle at Spring Fertility, and I came away so happy with my experience with Spring, my provider (Dr. Kim) and the broader team of medical assistants, phlebotomists, and care coordinators.

I only had a specific time period when I could undergo a cycle, and Spring quickly fit me in for a consultation and scheduled me for my cycle. They were highly communicative, promptly sending emails and giving me a phone call after every appointment to update me on my results and provide instructions for medications. You have to go to a lot of appointments during an egg freezing cycle, and every single appointment took place on time and was run like a well-oiled machine.

I was particularly impressed with Dr. Kim! She was razor-sharp, so easy to talk to, and provided clear and empathetic answers to any question under the sun. I would choose her again in a heartbeat.

Spring Patient | Egg Freezing Patient

My husband and I (both 35) tried to get pregnant for over a year, and it wasn't happening. After two egg retrievals, and one transfer, we now have six embryos including one that that has made us PREGNANT (yay!). We tested out three different fertility clinics, and decided that Spring Fertility was far superior in their service design, patient care coordination, scientific rigor, outcomes (just look at the CDC "ART success rates" data). We had already heard good things about them through a friend who had been in a similar situation, so it was a good sign. We were given a new Dr. at the clinic - Dr. Kim, who had come from top medical schools on the East Coast and was EXCELLENT, extremely well-trained, smart, communicative, and warm. LEGIT... In a nutshell, I can't recommend Dr. Kim enough! Besides the scientific rigor (which will lead to better outcomes), I've NEVER had such a smooth and seamless patient care experience in my life with engaging
with the medical system.
