She will be seeing patients part-time at Spring Fertility Portland, while maintaining her research and teaching positions at OHSU.
Dr. Amato specializes in caring for patients with infertility, polycystic ovary syndrome, and menopausal issues. Her research focuses on innovative assisted reproductive technologies for the treatment of infertility and ovarian aging. The science of reproduction and helping patients build their families what inspired her to pursue a career in reproductive endocrinology and infertility.
Originally from Toronto, Canada, Dr. Amato loves the Pacific Northwest. In addition to exploring the outdoors and Portland’s foodie and arts scenes, Dr. Amato enjoys spending time with friends and family and her vizsla and cheering for the Portland Blazers and Portland Thorns FC.
My partner and I always found Dr Amato to be very reassuring, calm, and honest. We trusted what she said in regard to our treatments and protocols, including the statistics about our likelihood of conceiving, and found her manner to be very supportive and matter of factional. She answered every question from a place of knowledge and experience, and we never felt foolish for asking or confused by her answers. It was a relief to have someone so skilled on our side as we created our family.
