It`s hard to believe it`s already been over a year since we opened the doors to Spring Fertility Portland, expanding access to compassionate fertility care in Oregon. It`s been an honor to support individuals and couples through IVF, fertility preservation, LGBTQ+ family building, and more - and we`re just getting started, together! To our patients, providers, care teams, and Portland community: thank you for being part of our Spring family, and for making it all possible.

We recognize that Mother`s Day can be difficult for those who are navigating fertility struggles or grieving loss: we see you, we honor you, and we`re here for you.
If you`re seeking community, a safe space to help process your feelings, and some tools to support your mental and emotional wellness, join us on May 6 at 5 pm PST/8 pm EST for a free support group session led by Dr. Julia Conant and Dr. Shelby Alsup, Spring`s in-house psychology team.
There’s no pressure to speak or share your story—come as you are. Breakout sessions will be available for those seeking guidance and connection.
You do not have to be a Spring patient to attend. Click the link in our bio to RSVP, and please feel free to share this with someone you know who could benefit from support and community at this time.
Join us at Wildlike NYC on May 8th for our `Piercing The Stigma` event, an evening of community building, ear piercing, and talking all things fertility and expressing yourself!
Drinks will be served starting at 6 p.m., and ear piercings will be provided by Wildlike (Spring will cover the cost of the first one!), plus a special menu of discounted earrings to give you luck or support on your fertility journey!
We will be joined by Spring Fertility`s Dr. Nicole Yoder who will lead a conversation on the egg freezing process, considerations, and what comes next, as well as Wildlike CEO Alysa Teichman who can speak to her personal fertility journey!
Space is limited – grab a friend and click the link in our bio to RSVP.
*The cost of 1 ear piercing (1 hole!) is covered - jewelry cost is not included.
Earlier this month, Spring`s in-house clinical psychology team Dr. Julia Conant and Dr. Shelby Alsup presented at the Jones Conference in Philadelphia, PA! Their talk, "Shifting Paradigms of Support for Same-Sex Female Couples and Single Mothers by Choice," explored how we can better care for historically marginalized patients in the fertility space.
They shared insights from our new pilot program, which offers group consultations for SSF, NB, Queer, Trans, and SMC patients to make fertility care more inclusive, affirming, and truly patient-centered every step of the way. We`re proud of Dr. Conant and Dr. Alsup for their dedication and advocacy - and for inviting other mental health providers in the fertility field to address the unique barriers and stigma faced by these communities.

In honor of #NationalInfertilityAwarenessWeek, we had the opportunity to host some of our friends from @progynyinc (and several representatives from companies with Progyny benefits) at our New York City clinic.
Together, we talked about the importance of improved access to fertility treatment and the impact of comprehensive fertility benefit packages on patients` ability to get quality fertility care how and when they need it. Dr. Klatsky led the group in a guided tour, which included a look into our lab to understand the work our embryologists are doing behind the scenes every day to support our patients` goals.
IVF can be an effective fertility treatment for people trying to conceive. Part of its success is due to the fact that fertilization happens outside of the body — in other words, the egg and sperm are combined in a lab, resulting in an embryo. That embryo is then transferred back into the body, where hopefully a successful pregnancy can grow.
However, it turns out that not all embryos are created equal. When you are recovering from your egg retrieval, you will get a call from your doctor with the number of embryos and the grade of each embryo. What do these grades mean? How do they impact how successful your upcoming transfer cycle will be?
Spring Fertility`s Dr. Kolbe Hancock broke it down for ParentData - click the link in our bio to read the article!
"We just welcomed our sweet baby boy on 3/2 after what felt like years of insurmountable hills to climb - miscarriage, ectopics, loss of both tubes. We had bright spots on our journey to a family with our successful embryos created at Spring despite very low AMH and suspected diminished ovarian reserve. It took a couple tries, but on our third transfer we were blessed with baby Luca!
We wouldn’t have Luca without Dr. Zore and the team at Spring. Even when we would hit other bumps, the team was compassionate and continued to help us find hope to keep pressing forward as we were ready. We’re eternally grateful 💕 and now so in love with our little boy.
For now we are enjoying our little family of 3 and look forward to growing our family at Spring in the future!" - Spring Fertility SF Patient
This National Infertility Awareness Week - and always - we`re thinking of the 1 in 6 couples who face a fertility-related obstacle on their family-building journeys. We`ll be amplifying resources to support those who may be struggling with a fertility diagnosis, creating safe spaces for candid conversation, and sharing stories of hope and possibility.
We see you, we support you, and we are honored to be a trusted partner on your path to parenthood.
