Important Update on Medication Costs & Savings Opportunities
Dear Spring Patients,
We wanted to reach out with some important information about upcoming changes to fertility medication pricing that may benefit you.
What’s Changing: A New Federal Initiative to Reduce Costs of IVF Medications
A new patient assistance program is scheduled to launch on January 26th that could significantly reduce the cost of certain medications, including Gonal-F, Ovidrel, and Cetrotide. While we’re still learning the details, early information suggests estimated savings of $500-$750 per cycle for patients who are paying out of pocket.
Here’s what we know so far:
- The program will offer two discount tiers through patient registration on EMD Serono’s website, but the specific discount amounts and eligibility criteria for each tier are still unknown.
- All self-pay patients will qualify for some level of discount.
We’re actively working with our pharmacy partners to understand the full details and will share more information as soon as it’s available.
If Your Cycle Starts January 19th or Later:
We know timing is everything when it comes to your treatment, and we want you to have all the information to make the best decision for your situation. Here are your options:
- Proceed with your planned cycle now: You’re welcome to move forward as scheduled. However, please note that if the new program launches while you’re mid-cycle, we won’t be able to retroactively apply discounts to medications already purchased.
- Delay your cycle until the program launches (January 26th): If your timeline allows flexibility, waiting may result in medication savings. We’re happy to discuss whether a short delay makes sense for your treatment plan. However, please do keep in mind that the launch date for this program may change.
Please connect with your Care Team via your Salve App if you would like to delay your cycle.
Spring’s Medication Package Offer Temporarily Paused
To ensure we don’t inadvertently overcharge anyone during the roll out of this federal policy program, we have temporarily suspended our medication package offersWe’ll reinstate these as soon as we have clarity on the new pricing structure. In the meantime, your nurse will work with you and send your prescriptions directly to the specialty pharmacy of your choice.
What Happens Next
Our team is working closely with pharmacies and manufacturers to get you complete, accurate information as quickly as possible. We’ll send another update by January 26, 2026 with:

- Clarification on tier eligibility
- Guidance on how to maximize your savings
