Your first appointment covers the clinical groundwork that enables a good treatment plan. Your physician orders hormone blood tests, including AMH and FSH, and performs a pelvic ultrasound to count your antral follicles, a direct measure of your current ovarian reserve.
That data, combined with your reproductive history and goals, provides your physician with a factual basis for recommending a course of treatment. Most supplementary testing is completed within one menstrual cycle of the initial visit.
Your treatment plan is personalized to your individual needs, taking into account your age, ovarian reserve, diagnosis, treatment history, and goals. Spring Fertility physicians draw from more than 15 stimulation protocols to determine the medications, dosing, and timing best suited to you.
